MAJOR FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

GOAL : 3,5M$

Throughout the years, La Cité was able to gain a solid reputation in many areas, while ensuring the training of a future bilingual workforce. One of the College’s great sources of pride is unequivocally its 34,000 graduates who put their knowledge and skills to good use in the National Capital Region’s labour market, but also abroad.

« More than 300 donors support the Foundation each year, 300 individuals and businesses who deeply believe in the Foundation’s mission. We are extremely proud to count on your support.

Thanks to you, we contribute to the purchase of equipment, supplies and educational material. We support programs, services and capital improvements while allowing our students to benefit from an enhanced learning experience. For over 20 years now, we have continued to place the student and access to French language college education as our top priorities by granting more than $400,000 in bursaries annually to students in need. »

Michel Larose – President of the Foundation’s Board of Directors
Christiane Matte – Director of the Foundation

In addition to helping students who do not have the financial resources to realize their potential, the Campaign will allow us to invest in new technologies and facilities that will provide students with innovative learning experiences that are adapted to the new realities of the labour market.

This major fundraising campaign is centered on three major projects :

 Goal : 500 000 $

An infrastructure project that will propel student experience into a whole new multidisciplinary and experiential learning dimension.

The epicenter of a 21st century learning environment, La Place will be opened to the world, a pivotal space for cultural and economic initiatives, a Francophone hub vibrant with experiences and human energy. It will welcome students, visitors, partners and clients from all over the world who want to experience collaborative work and co-creativity.

In order to meet the expectations of employers, La Cité is continually in the process of modernizing its facilities. Continuous investments are essential to keep the equipment up-to-date.

Donations for equipment purchase ensure the acquisition of learning materials in various fields. Students from all sectors of the College will benefit from this fund.

The bursary program created in recent years has been enhanced to increase the scope of interventions while increasing financial support for students.

Bursaries help and encourage students throughout their training. You can contribute and therefore enable students to access post-secondary education in French and foster student success.

STUDENT TESTIMONIES

« For a student like me who has a lot of expenses and who lives alone in an apartment, it’s really a huge relief, especially in terms of tuition fees. It helped me a lot to pay for my studies, almost for all of it. It is really fun because I will be able to devote all my efforts to my studies and to put aside the financial aspect for a while. »

Tommy Dyotte-Delorme,
student in the Business Administration Technician program

« Looking back, I can say that my two years at the College were among the most beautiful years of my life. I left the family home at the age of 17. I had to find the strength and courage to make a place for myself in a new province, a new school, with new people. It was here that I met inspiring people. Students who did not have any financial assistance and who worked hard to pay for their studies and to have the best possible marks despite that. It is from all the students that we would like to say THANK YOU, dear donors. Your support makes a huge difference in our lives. »
