A successful 3rd edition of the Véronic DiCaire Open

Lise Bourgeois, présidente de La Cité collégiale, Jean Pigeon, directeur de la Fondation de La Cité collégiale, et Lise Parent, présidente du conseil d'administration de la Fondation.Along with cultural and sports personalities attending the Véronic DiCaire Open, held on July 15th, over 300 golfers and 40 corporate partners gathered for a day of golf. A total of $100 000 was raised for the Véronic DiCaire Foundation and the La Cité collégiale Foundation; these funds will be used towards creating and awarding scholarships.

For the second consecutive year, the event was held at the prestigious Le Mirage Golf Club, owned by René Angélil and Céline Dion, located in Terrebonne, Québec. A number of distinguished guests were present, such as: host and actor Charles Lafortune, Québec artist Boom Desjardins, Acadian singer Wilfred Lebouthilier, comedian Patrice Bélanger, host and actress Marina Orsini, former Québec Nordiques and New York Rangers coach Michel Bergeron, football player Étienne Boulay and Louis-Jean Cormier the singer from the group Karkwa.

Later in the evening, Véronic DiCaire performed a medley of songs from her English repertoire before treating the crowd to a surprise performance by the four candidates of the reality talent show  »La Voix »: Charlotte Cardin-Goyer, Andie Duquette, Étienne Coton and Étienne Cousineau. Before closing the evening, Véronic and friend Étienne Cousineau took to the stage to perform a unique rendition of  »Hymne à l’amour ».
