The Foundation supports the 911 Institute

Students of the Pre-service Firefighter Education and Training program, accompanied by Mr. Claude Beauchamp, Director of the 911 Institute and the Institute for Emergency and Legal Services, Mr. Jean Pigeon, Director of the Foundation, Mrs. Linda Cloutier, Vice-president of Academics and Mr. Pierre St-Jean, Coordinator of the Pre-service Firefighter Education and Training program welcomed new equipment!

During the first ever fire prevention day held on campus, Pre-service Firefighter Education and Training students used a new piece of simulation equipment recently acquired by the La Cité Foundation for the 911 Institute.

In fact, last September La Cité acquired technology, which is not available at any other college, for the Pre-service Firefighter Education and Training program. Students can now use this intelligent training system, essential to their learning.  »The simulator allows us to focus on the environment, because it doesn’t produce any smoke or emit any gas. It allows us to offer our courses on campus without having to move our students and for them to learn the techniques used to extinguish fires, » said Mr. Claude Beauchamp, Director of the 911 Institute for Emergency and Legal Services.

»The Foundation is proud to support the purchase of state of the art equipment, such as this, and contributing to the success of the students at La Cité collégiale. » confirmed Jean Pigeon, Director of the Foundation.
